The Tavistock Courthouse remains a courthouse. Sixty years ago ,it was used by MG Charles Gehrhardt to quiz his officers on tactics.

Abbotsfield Hall was a 29th Infantry Division headquarters visited by Gen. Eisnehower and Brtish Gen. Montgomery. Today, it is a retirment home.

A plaque tells the story of the former headquarters building.
