The Inspector General (TIG) provides support to commanders and soldiers of the 29^th Infantry Division (Light). The Inspector General responsibilities fall into three categories: Assistance, Inspections and Investigations. All NCO’s and officers within the Inspector General section are available to assist soldiers requiring assistance to solve problems their chain of command cannot solve. The IG section is commanded by LTC Eugene Stockton.

The Inspection Section is headed by MAJ Francine Buie whose responsibilities include coordination with Division Staff and subordinate commands on inspection concerns. The Inspection Section is also available to assist commanders in assessment of systematic problems within their commands.

The Investigation Section, headed by MAJ Rita Thompson, addresses issues requiring lengthy examination.

The IG branch is also manned by MSG Zane Frye, the NCOIC of the section and SPC Cuong Phan, the administrative specialist.
